For 18 years, Nash worked as a professional magician by day and a crisis line volunteer by night, this unique path has taught him many meaningful lessons. He learned how to stay innovative as a magician who continues to create new illusions. From volunteering at the crisis line, he learned how we can empower each other through empathetic communication. Now as a keynote speaker, he is eager to share these tools with your attendees to add values to their lives.

Speaker Vlog: Closing keynote for NACUFS & magic

I was honored to be the closing keynote speaker for NACUFS (National Association of College & University Food Services) spring conference. Before the conference I had learned a few stories from their industry. While I was so focused on weaving their stories into the keynote, I totally forgot that my first job was actually with campus dining LOL. Here's a quick recap of the keynote. For keynote ...

March 2019 was my first ever speaking engagement. At that time, I wasn't paid nor was I on the main stage. 5 years later with a hiatus sandwiched from 2020-2022, I'm thankful this same conference hired me and entrusted me to be their opening keynote speaker this time 🗣️. Here's what happened ... 🙏Thankful for all the opportunities people had given me to continue my progress. The best is yet to ...

One of my early mistakes while volunteering on the crisis line was that I wanted to solve the callers' problems immediately, which made them feel dismissed and unheard. I believe leaders can learn a lot from this principle. Oftentimes when someone is struggling with a problem, they want to feel understood & cared for first. Before you deep dive into solving a problem your teammate is struggling...

Every time I travel to deliver a morning keynote, I have the luxury of being at the conference the evening before to do sound check. If the opportunity is there, I always choose to attend their evening reception to say "hi" to a few folks and wow them with magic :) Here are the benefits 1) A warm audience is always better than a cold audience. Get them to know you as person first goes a long wa...
A small tribute to Darwin Ortiz | Legendary card magician

When I was 14, I started learning magic from saving up lunch money to secretly purchase magic instructional VHS. The first VHS I bought was “CardShark. Vol.2” by a legendary card magician Darwin Ortiz. I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr.Ortiz himself, but if I could, I’d def let him know he got my lunch money 😅. From his top student Jason Ladanye, the magic world learned that Darwin had pas...

Hello Nash, this is Manman from HK, it’s my 1st time watching your video from Tedtalk. I was so impressed by your presentation and way of coaching people in an empathic approach. May I know if you have any online courses for me to learn more? 🙌🏻
Hi Manman! Thank you for reaching out to me. If you are wondering how to help someone who might be going through a mental health challenge, I highly suggest being trained in Mental Health First aid www.mentalhealthfirstaid.org/ It is a like CPR for mental health. They teach a 5 step practice on how to communicate and talk to someone whom you think might be having a tough time , and how to encourage them to get better mental health support :) Hope this helps? :) Cheers from HK by way of Seattle! <3
I enjoyed your routine. Thanks for the inspiration
That's very kind of you, thank you so much
That first event looks like a 3rd floor room at the Tacoma Convention Center...all the way to Cascadia's main room at Salishan on the Oregon Coast! Proud of you, Nash!
When I first saw this all those years ago I was baffled, having taking up illusions now myself and being reminded of this I just love it, real theatre and one P&T would have had in there show for real.
To this day, one of my favorite acts on Fool Us. Simple, clean, funny, and original. Eschews the tacky props like cups/balls, handkerchiefs, and rings. And Nash just seems like a nice guy, which helps a lot.
Appreciate your kind words :)
RIP toda una leyenda de la magia.
Discovering Darwin's books are what elevated my card magic more than anything else. I too regularly perform New Hitchcock Aces and there are more routines from Cardshark in my repertoire than any other book.
This vid deserves more views. It's funny and cute at the same time. 😂 Props to the dad for teaching his daughter while making the lesson fun, and still babysitting, too. 👏😀
Thank you so much for your kind words :) You are right, gotta make bilingual lessons fun!
It’s fun🎉🎉
Thanks brotha. Live performance next time we come to HK
Nice!. I like this routine. I can relate I'm a magician with a toddler
<3 it ! Then my friend you know full well the chaos :)
💯 "Promo SM"
I have seen you from Hiho Kids!
Thank you for remembering!! Nowadays I use magic to inspire & entertain :)
@@NashFung no problem after all your a great magician :)
But how in the world did they get the license out of the envelope??
I'd hire you. Where you located?
Did Coke sponsore it?
How much would it cost for you to come do magic in my living room until I believe in myself?
This guy is homeless now I saw him on the street doing magic in ragged clothes after a concert in Seattle. So sad
LOL well I'm happy to report that thankfully I'm not homeless; but now I'm curious to learn whom is this look alike gent that you saw in Seattle?
@@NashFung oh my bad I had u mistaken for Shin Lim.
Kind of a basic trick for fool us. I think I’ve seen that same trick a thousand times and in slightly different ways.
Miss the vids
aah sneaky
He blew the trick when he moved the can of soda under the table. It became obvious that he switched it.
Ok but how’d you turn cigarettes into skittles??
5:18 is where he grabbed the 2nd can of coke! BOOM!
Very entertaining! Thank you!
It's so entertaining, what an amazing Magic Trick! I hope you try again to fool them!
This guy is super funny! Very entertaining act although this is a classic and we could clearly see him move the can under the table for about 2 secs.
Incredible + whoa = AYFKM, #MindGame
Switching the soda can was really obvious. This could’ve been super good with a better plot.
I hope they checked their credit card bill the next few months after
I love the humility of the magicians. It's "sort of" a "competition" but at the same time, not fooling P&T doesn't mean the truck was a failure. The trick can be done perfectly. But these two guys have done it for so long that, one, they know what to look for. And two, they also ask themselves "if I wanted this result, how would I get it?". Fooling them is and additional win to the winning of creating a successful illusion to the whole audience studio/at home, except, maybe 2 people.
Fantastic Would you mind tell me your show is a trick or real magic?
a very well practiced trick that looks like real magic
@@NashFung Even when a magition cuts a human in two or crosses a wall or... All of them are tricks!!!? Please guide me
In Vegas it's not uncommon for cards to have coke on them.
adobe after effects OR a mini hand in front of flash on phone
No, the secret is in his finger which holding the phone
Dumb Dude puts coke down and puts id in it.
Interesting English. I lap-ped it.
AMAZING 🇨🇦🇨🇦
that was an amazing trick!!
the can was for 10 sec under the table
Omg. How you do this?. I'm new to this youtube channel. I subscribed you just now. I saw you from hiho kids. You are amazing. I'm 13, love magic ❤️❤️
That's a cool trick but did you know on October 13th 2017 I left my dog in a hot car for too long
You played really nice! I almost believed you made an error.
You didn’t seem very natural with some of this. When you took a drink you didn’t seem natural. Timing and action. The rest of the sixpack might not be visible under your table, but if you had extras, it’d be polite to share with Penn & Teller. You’re not bad at all. You entertained a big crowd in the theater of some world-renowned magicians. You’re great. But people like me spot unnatural behaviors in individuals. I don’t know you, but I know you weren’t acting natural. Your panic didn’t seem natural either. I’d actually recommend looking at the earlier performances of the find-your-card trick P&T did, by killing Teller in a water tank. The way Penn pauses, sighs, and acts as if the “emergency” is real, is well-done. Again, you’re great. From the taping of this video though, you could refine how natural you appear in your reactions to the trick’s progress.
Magic Alison looks like a bloke!!! 😁
Awesome nash good one im ur new fan im called illumar di mago magician comtact juggler performer
It was horrible routine Unnatural Moves from beginning to end
Completely Amazing
Yeah, once Penn pointed out the multiple soda can thing, I felt a little better for the magician. At first I thought it was some highly specialized, precision-machined, expensive soda can that he had to slice into for the trick at great personal expense, due to it having to fully function as an actual soda can earlier in the trick. Phew!
How do you learn this stuff ? Do you make some tricks up?
Thanks for watching. It s a mixture of both. Some moves are learned, some moves are created originally :)
Wow !! I love this magic ! And now i am nash bros new fan girl in 2021 lol !. Hands off bro ... love from india :)
